Preschool Senior Teacher (English-speaking) and Deputy Manager (Only QTS, EYTS)

Salary: £32,189-£34,155

Hours: 38 hours per week

Holiday: 7 weeks of paid holiday

We are a bilingual setting, working with a Montessori/EYFS blended curriculum. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who will make a difference to children and staff by a nurturing and creative approach. Passion for the EYFS, early phonics and mathematics, deep understanding of child development and educational theories are important for the role. Being knowledgeable about the Montessori pedagogy is very welcome.

We are already rated Good with Outstanding features, and we are aiming higher. This position could be suitable for someone with QTS or EYTS and experience, who can lead and guide practitioners to fulfil their potential in providing the best learning opportunities for our children.

By being the deputy manager as well, this person will have a wider reach across the nursery to ensure a consistently high-quality practice.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for experienced teachers/room leaders/deputy managers or managers with QTS or EYTS to work in our preschool room (2.5 to 4.5 years old) and support the Nursery Manager.

Required Qualifications:
UK QTS, EYTS

Welcome: Montessori diploma or knowledge

At least a B in GCSE English (or other, equivalent or higher, English qualifications)
At least a C in GCSE Maths

Required Experience:

Minimum 1-year experience in the early years (senior teacher/room leader/deputy manager/manager)

Required Skills:

• Leadership skills with good communication
• Thorough knowledge of the EYFS, early phonics and maths
• Ability to guide and train staff
• Effective communication with parents
• Modelling best practice
• Excellent level of spoken and written English. This is an absolutely required skill. Our nurseries specialise in language skills, and ability here is an absolute “must”. All applicants will have a written English test.
• Competent IT skills (Word, simple Excel)
